It may seem like an odd place, a little creepy, questionable? -yes. But there’s no question about it, Ward, Colorado is where it’s at for one of the cycling meccas in Colorado. No resorts. No fancy restaurants. No anything really. There’s a “General Store,” but I don’t even know if it still in business, just a ton of miscellaneous stuff out front. I hesitate saying “junk,” because I don’t think the people of the GREAT metopolis of Ward see things as “junk.” “That ol’ tire – that’s a swing for the chitlins. Hell, what you say we throw ‘em in there and push ‘em down the hill?” If you did push them chitlins down the hill, they’d be in for one heck of a ride down Lefthand Canyon all the way into North Boulder. You may not ever see them again. Maybe some parents wouldn’t mind that. “Hey kids, lets go ‘camping’ up near Ward.” I could go on about how backcountry Ward is, but truth is you need to check it out for yourself. It’s AWESOME.
